Notice anything different?
Depending on how you’re reading this, you might notice my Substack is “rebranding” a little bit. Now that I’ve hit 1k subscribers (woohoo!) it seemed like I should put more thought into my title than “Kevin’s Substack by Kevin.” The title is now, “Who Is My Neighbor?” The majority of you will immediately know what I’m driving at with that title, but I plan to explain it a bit more next week. You might be surprised!
Another small bit of housekeeping: welcome to all my new subscribers! Some of you may have come over from Ben Cremer’s newsletter, and some from Roof Above. Regardless, I’m so glad you’re here. Feel free to explore my previous posts. I do recommend the below post titled, “Why You Shouldn’t Pay for My Substack” to understand a little better my ethic around the free vs paid options.
Now, on to Rescue Missions. I’m actually here to link you to an article I just published with Sojourners. It features some interviews I did with former employees of Rescue Missions, along with some narrative work and advocacy. I’ve been working on this for about three months, and it has really been through the ringer to finally get to you here. I really hope you’ll read it, and tell me what you think here in the comments.
