This is beautiful. I feel like I first learned this when I was teaching at a charter school. Sometimes my reactions or decisions were more based on the kind of day I was having than the specifics of what a particular kid did or didn’t do. If I responded poorly, I always tried to own it and I think this was surprising to the kids too. I appreciate the work you are doing.
Admitting you made a mistake is so difficult. I had to learn to say I’m sorry to my kids. 😮💨
